Giedre and Camille are professional jazz and contemporary dancers who bring an artistic approach to their classes. They place a strong emphasis on movement exploration and improvisation through playful warm-ups and funky-style coordination exercises. Giedre and Camille say, "Once we are dancing playfully and joyfully in our own bodies, we are ready to explore our connection to the music and a dance partner!"
For partner connection, Giedre and Camille prioritize improving posture to create space inside the body so that kinaesthetic sensations can be developed and communicated to the partner, “feel big things and do small things”. Then, they also concentrate on understanding the dynamic exchanges between two bodies, aiming to enhance the biomechanical response to each other's impulses. For musicality, they encourage expressing oneself through pulse textures, frame density and breath. An important aspect of their philosophy is promoting active listening between dance partners. They encourage leaders to listen to their followers to find ways to be trusted and followers to empower themself in taking space and showing their idea of the dance.

Giedre Paplaityte
Giedre's journey into the world of swing dance began with Lindy Hop in early 2000. After traveling the world learning and teaching swing dance, Giedre established her base in Europe's party capital, Berlin, where she became an active member of the vibrant Balboa dance community. - More about Giedre

Camille is a contemporary dancer and choreographer. He teaches Balboa from his experience of body awareness, movement experimentation and improvisation. - More about Camille
