Gathenhielmska Huset: Our Daytime Activity Hub
WELCOME TO OUR CITY ACTIVITY HUB!
"Built in 1749, Gathenhielmska Huset is one of Gothenburg’s oldest secular buildings and the city’s only preserved wooden townhouse from the middle of the 18th century.
We're thrilled to unveil Gathenhielmska Huset (https://www.gathenhielmska.se) as the heart of our Saturday daytime city activities!
Steeped in history, this venue breathes life from a past era with its unique furnishings and details. Marvel at the beautifully restored paintings and wallpapers from hundreds of years ago that still grace its walls. Join us for a captivating tour through its diverse halls and experience a gallery that's not just seen, but felt. Step into a world where history dances with the present at Gathenhielmska Huset!
The entire building and its beautiful garden will be exclusively open to our participants on Saturday 27 January.
Please join the various activities of the City & Culture track that happen in this building.
Explore this stunning historic building!
Just stay to enjoy chill tea time (Fika) or watch movies and mingle with other Shufflers.
The house can accommodate up to 70 people at the same time. In case the house is full, there is a garden house with a fireplace where you can go for a fika and enter Gathenhielmska when someone leaves.
The venue is located in Majorna, “the cultural hub of Gothenburg”. From the city centre, you can easily get a tram to Stigbergstorget, which is only 100 m from its entrance.
